Hi culinary lover. this morning I read the article about food recipes made from vermicelli and looks delicious. yes that's Sumiya Upma. The noodles used in this food are Asian noodles accompanied by other vegetables. sumiya upma is about the same recipe as a food called semolina upma, the difference lies in the vermicelli or semiya only.

well this food is often served in the city of South India for their breakfast. usually they use vermicelli made from semolina. here you can use other ingredients for the use of the vermicelli itself. can be changed to wheat or millet. This recipe is quite popular.

INGREDIENTS:
  • to cook vermicelli
  • 2 tsp oil
  • 1 cup vermicelli / semiya
  • water to cook
  • ½ tsp salt
  • other ingredients:
  • 3 tsp oil
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • ½ tsp urad dal
  • 1 tsp chana dal
  • 1 dried red chilli
  • few curry leaves
  • handful peanuts
  • 1 inch ginger, finely chopped
  • 2 green chilli, slit
  • 2 tbsp onion, finely chopped
  • ½ tsp turmeric / haldi
  • 2 tbsp peas / matar
  • 2 tbsp carrot, finely chopped
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp capsicum, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp beans, finely chopped
  • ½ lemon
  • 2 tbsp coriander, finely chopped

INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. firstly, in a kadai heat 3 tsp oil and splutter 1 tsp mustard, ½ tsp urad dal, 1 tsp chana dal, 1 dried red chilli and few curry leaves.
  2. The next step is to add a few handfuls of beans and bake them until they become crispy, try on low heat
  3. add 2 green chilies and 1 inch of ginger. saute well.
